How important is Worship?
Hello all
you Christ Seekers!!!! Did you have a productive week? Was it all you expected
and wanted it to be? Well, today I was reading about the importance of
Worship. We have constant battles everyday between good and evil. How does
worship play a role in this battle? The Apostle Paul described true worship
perfectly in Romans 12:1-2:
“I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a
living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God which is your spiritual service of
worship. And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is
good and acceptable, or well pleasing and perfect.” This says it all. We are so
blessed to have God's mercy which is why you worship. God did not have to make
the sacrifice to give us His only begotten son. That whosoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). Just that alone is a
reason to be thankful. We have His Grace. This scripture also talks about
presenting your bodies as living sacrifices Holy and acceptable to God. This
means all of our members (body) from the mind to the feet should be saturated
with the Truth. (The Word). This helps us with the issues of the world. When
your mind is planted on God you will live according to His standards. There
should be evidence that you are saved. If you are a child of God, but people
are always telling you they did not know you were, then something is definitely
not right. Now there is a flip side to that for those that appear so good but
are evil. (This subject will come later as we speak on discernment). Having
your mind focused on God allows you to be equipped to know that God will take
care of the evil battles that come against you. Worship gives you strength. True
worship is God-centered worship. People tend to get caught up in where they
should worship, what music they should sing in worship, and how the worship
looks to other people. Focusing on these things completely misses the point.
Jesus tells us that true worshipers will worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). This means
we worship from the heart and the way God has designed. Worship can include
praying, reading God's Word with an open heart, singing, participating in
communion, and serving others. It is not limited to one act, but is done
properly when the heart and attitude of the person are in the right place.
Also, worship only belongs to God. There should be no other God before Him!!!
It is important that no one in your life take precedence over God's will for
you!! That is why when you worship Him, he should be all you are focused on.
Allow Him to take you to a deeper level. True worshipers have more patience,
they are kind, they watch what they say, they do not offend nor do they take
offense, they are humble, they do not brag, they do not lie, they are hard
workers, they are consistent, they study the Word so they have knowledge. You
never have to wonder about their motives because their love is so apparent.
Worship is the acknowledgment of God and all His power and glory in
everything we do. The highest form of praise and worship is obedience to Him
and His Word. To do this, we must know God; we cannot be ignorant of Him (Acts
17:23). Worship is to glorify and
exalt God—to show our loyalty and admiration to our Father. That is why it is
so important!! Keep in mind that "The Truth of the Matter Talk Show"
will air in March 2012. And remember knowing the truth about everything really
does matter.

Who is Protecting Our Children?
Hello all you "Christ-Seekers!!!" I am
back with "The Truth of the Matter Blog" and each week we are going
to be discussing the truth about everything as it relates to The Word of God!!!
I am so glad to be back! Today here in Atlanta we received some sad news. There
was an amber alert that had been out regarding a child that had gone missing.
Well, she was found today and unfortunately she is no longer with us. She was
murdered. This is so devastating. So I began to think. Who could hurt an
innocent child? How could anyone look into their innocent eyes and harm them.
My Word for today was, Mark 9:36-37 which says, 36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the
child in his arms, he said to them, 37 “Whoever
welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever
welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” The Bible does not specifically use the term “child abuse.”
There is no record of a single instance in the Bible where a child is being
abused. What the Bible does tell us is this: children have a special place in
God’s heart and anyone who harms a child is inviting God’s wrath upon Him. When
Jesus’ disciples tried to keep children from coming to Him, He rebuked them and
welcomed little children to His side, saying, “Let the little children come to
me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14). Then He took the children in His
arms and blessed them (v. 16).
Children are abused and
mistreated in several different ways, all of which are abhorrent to God. Too
many children are the victims of angry beatings and other physical and sexual
abuse as their parents or other individuals take out their own anger and
frustration out on them. Anger is almost always sinful, and anyone who abuses a
child in anger or hatred commits multiplied sins. “An angry man stirs up
dissension, and a hot-tempered one commits many sins” (Proverbs 29:22). It is so sad when a child is the
victim of tragedy, but it is so encouraging to know that children are not
held accountable by God for their sins until they reach a certain age, and that
if a child dies before reaching the "age of accountability,' that child
will, by the grace and mercy of God, be granted entrance into Heaven. We know
our children no matter what will always go to Heaven and if we live as we
should one day we will all be reunited. That is the hope that we all have as
parents that have lost their children. My heart aches for all of those parents
that have had to endure the lost of their children especially to heinous crimes
and I will continue to pray that you have peace in the darkest time of your
life. Just remember that God is watching over all of our children and no matter
what happens He is always protecting them.

Whose Direction Will You Follow?
Hello all you "Christ-Seekers!!!" How many of you are going through a time of re-grouping and re-evaluating your life? I know there are times when we all have to do this. What are you trying to determine? What needs to change in your life? Are you wondering what you purpose in life is and if you know your purpose are you trying to determine in which direction you should go? Philippians 2:13 says, "13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. This tells me that we have to go to God for the purpose he has for our lives. We all have a purpose! There is a reason you were born to this world. If you ever wonder what it is let me tell you, Matthew 28:16-20 (The Great Commission) says, "16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We are all purposed to spread the good news of the Bible to the world. Each of us has specific talents and passions that will allow us to carry this out. For some it is to teach, some to preach, some to exalt, some to heal and so forth and so on. Whose direction will you follow? There is only one path that leads to Glory and that is following the Word of God. Find the truth and follow it!! And remember knowing the truth about everything really does matter!!

Fresh Wind
Hello-Christ Seekers!!! Have you ever felt wiped out? Do you find your self in a current state of being at a stand still? Do you find that you have no sensne of direction? Ezekiel 37 says, "1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. 11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’” I was watching TBN one night and there was a minister who was the guest speaker. She spoke of this story and gave her testimony. She talked about the "fresh wind" she had experienced and how she was going in a new direction. I really did not understand it at the time, but now I know what she meant. As you all know, I was blessed to have a talk show for the past eight weeks. It was dream come true. This was my first time ever experiencing this. It took a lot of time and was a lot of hard work. We had a good first season but it still fell short of my initial expectations. Once the season finale was over I just felt wiped out. I was so tired from all of the sacrifices I had made. For the past couple of weeks after the show I have just felt dead. Numb to do anything. Not sure what step to take next. How many of you are feeling like that right now? How many of you have felt like that? Well, I thought about the minister's testimony. I prayed to God and just told Him everything that was on my heart. I was holding in so much. After that I received my fresh wind. I got clarity on my next steps and had to let go of the pride, selfishness and vanity about my show. This was God's show and I was only led in the direction He provided. The small success it received was just what God wanted. I now have my "fresh wind" which directs me for season 2 and allows me to take my next steps in life. Pray today for a "fresh wind." Allow the resurrection of your "dead state" to be awakened by the Lord! Thank you as always for following the Word with me and remember, knowing the truth about everything really does matter!!

What's in Store For You?
Hello all you "Christ-Seekers!" How many of you are waiting in anticipation for something great to happen? How many of you believe your prayers are coming to pass? How do you know? Well, if you are expecting God's promises to reign in your life you are on the right track!! You should know and believe that there is something wonderful in store for you if you are a child of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, "But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].This scripture tells me that there is expectation that should occur with the Christian that studies God's Word, lives according to His plan, follows His instructions, fellowships with those that live by good example and believes in God and stays away from temptations. If you allow God to use you in accordance with His ways, you can expect the abundantly, prosperous life that God promises!! Begin working on that today!!! Tune in tomorrow night for "The Truth of the Matter Talk Show" on http://www.n8tion.com/ at 8:30pm. This week's topic is about the Single Christian Women. We are going to have a panel of guests at the "round table" for a very provocative conversation on what women are looking for in a Christian man and the good, bad and ugly about being single!! You don't want to miss it!! And remember, knowing the truth about everything really does matter!
