What Do You Consider Success?

Hello all you "Christ-Seekers"! What do you consider makes you successful? Is it a great job? More money than you can dream of? Being able to travel to exotic locations? Popularity, beauty or just being smart? All of these could be considered factors for success. By the world's standards we follow people with these attributes. Normally, if you are a CEO or you have a high paying job people respect you. If you are rich, they worship what you have. If you are beautiful, they idolize you or desire you. But how many of you know that true success has nothing to do with any of these things? Isaiah 7:9 says, "And the head (the capital) of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son [Pekah]. If you will not believe and trust and rely [on God and on the words of God's prophet instead of Assyria], surely you will not be established nor will you remain." True success does not stem from what you have; it comes from knowing who God is and accepting Him. Nothing in this world matters more. Remember the scripture, "What does it profit a man to gain the world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? You are successful when you know God and follow His ways! Work hard to keep Him first in your life. Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33). Have a blessed week and don't forget, "The Truth of the Matter Talk Show" every Thursday night at 8:30 pm eastern time on http://www.n8tion.com/.
